About Lou

Inspired by the wild coastline and the vast expanse of moorland, I moved to Devon seven years ago – and haven’t looked back since. Now based in Exeter, a small but perfectly formed vibrant city, surrounded by beautiful countryside. I love to go for energising coastal walks with my labradoodle Maple, take in the sea air, return home and settle down with a giant mug of tea next to the fire!

When my children were younger, I spent more time in my home and began to develop my sense of style and passion for space and design. I completed a course at the Regent Academy of Fine Arts.

Where we live day to day is so important, our surroundings have a huge impact on our well-being.  For me, a home is a place to kick off your shoes, cook, eat and share great food with friends and family. In the winter, my family like to huddle by the fire playing Scrabble and watching movies. The summer is all about alfresco dining, sitting on a heap of soft cushions and chatting late into the balmy evening – bliss!

I’m also a big fan of bathtubs – if you have the space, soaking in a warm tub of bath salts surrounded by candle-light, is an essential for a well nourished soul! In fact,  soul and heart is central to any space I design.
